Sweet Departure
3:07 AM
It was indeed a stressful but fun week of work and finally got to spend some family time over the weekend. Being away for four days without hearing their voices made me feel terribly homesick but it was all good with some of the new friends I made at BRATs workshop. If you're wondering what BRATs is, it is a young journalist programme organised by R.AGE which has been going on strong for 20 solid years and it stands for bright, roving, annoying and teens. So it was my first BRATs experience in Johor Bahru, facilitating workshops along with my editor and editorial assistant. New experience but a fruitful one indeed. Had a great time working with the kids and I just loved their enthusiasm and energy.
Anyway, weekend was spent visiting my ancestors back in my hometown. It was Qing Ming last weekend and it is an annual tradition that requires every Chinese to pay visit and respect to our ancestors. It was a beautiful spiritual affair at graveyards I'd say. It is April today as I typed this, so hello to a new month and new challenge(s). Please be nice to me April! And, have a happy April guys! Happy April Fool!! Go on and hatch your sneaky tricks on your friends now! X

I can't recall the name but it was one of those swanky cafe boutiques along Jalan Dhoby in Johor Bahru. |

Qing Ming with my folks. |
The seniors of immense deep thoughts. |
A carcass of a baby lizard that I found in my grandpa's house. |
Kept the lizard carcass for burial but an obligatory photo with the deceased in remembering the significant grief-striken event. |
What turns out to be just pajamas came to a stylish affair at Qing Ming with an accident unplanned outfit. |
I thought it looked artsy and it also shows perspective of the grizzled in an immortal state. |

Fun times with some of the kids I met at BRATs where we spent our youthful time at Legoland Johor. |
